My PASSION AND PURPOSE:

Disability Rights.

I believe disability rights are civil rights and became a lawyer due to the tremendous battles I fought as the mother of a son with autism.

I now use my experience to provide legal representation for parents and families of children and adults with disabilities. My office assists families with Special Education Law, Special Needs Planning (Public benefits, Supported Decision-Making, Conservatorships), and Special Needs Trusts.

About Gloria Perez-Stewart

Although I am a lawyer, I identify most as a parent of a child with disabilities—because my life was forever changed after my son was diagnosed with disabilities.

As a parent, I know the difficulties I have faced—and which my son and all people with disabilities face—in accessing critical special education, regional center, insurance, and government services. As a divorced mother, a woman of color/Latina, and a person from a working-class background, I am also aware of the added pressures that come into play when attempting to accesses such services, and the barriers that are present for families.

My passion is access to justice for people with disabilities and their families.
